Our journey in scientific entrepreneurship

  • We validate

    After determining the problem-solution fit, applicare.ai was incorporated in September 2022. In order to validate the founder/vision fit, we participated in  the Coopérathon 2022, the largest open innovation challenge in Canada. Throughout the Coopérathon journey , we met with an incredible team and made it to the Alpha+ journey. We have been selected among the best 14 Alpha projects. applicare.ai team finished top 4 during the Coopérathon Grand Prix announcement on Dec 1st. applicare.ai benefits from the support of Defi Montreal the largest accelerator programs in Quebec. applicare.ai is also part of the Desjardins/MTL NewTech Foundry support program dedicated to the selected teams of the Coopérathon Alpha+ journey. In 2023, our objective is to develop the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) by getting the best out of Lean startup and design thinking.

  • We explore and pre-validate our idea

    Since 2021, The founder have had the idea of developing an AI-based tool to empower healthcare researchers with analytically validated algorithms for sensor time series data. As a scientist, she needed to explore entrepreneurship. She participated in the Quebec Scientific

    Entrepreneurship Program (QcSE)-Spring 2021 cohort, funded from the Fonds de recherche du Québec, to learn entrepreneurship fundamentals, develop a scientific entrepreneurship mindset and connect with a network of scientific entrepreneurs. Following that, she participated in the market discovery program-Fall 2021 cohort, at the District 3 innovation center located within Concordia University, to explore the viability of the idea and discover the priority customer segments.

    Then, she continued in the validation program-Winter 2022 cohort, to define the target market, develop a deep understanding of our customers’ problems and unmet needs, by conducting more than 60 interviews with the different stakeholders in the healthcare system in order to test our hypothesis.
